In November, 2016, the State Administration for Industry & Commerce of the People’s Republic of China Trademark Review and Adjudication Board recognized the GPHL trademark as a China Famous Brand. This is the 4th China Famous Brand title that GPHL has been awarded after subsidiary companies He Ji Gong, Pangaoshou and Tianxin were previously granted the same honor.
So far, GPHL has 1691 registered trademarks and incorporates 9 ‘China Famous Brands’, rendering GPHL the pharmaceutical enterprise with the most China Famous Brands nationwide. In addition, at provincial and city level, it has 23 and 32 Famous Brands respectively.
GPHL owns multiple China time-honored brands such as Chenliji, Pangaoshou, Zhongyi, Wanglaoji and Qixing, popular among medical experts and consumers alike. At present, GPHL, the leader of Grand Southern TCM, prides itself on having 12 subsidiaries with China time-honored brands.
After years of effort and development, GPHL has continuously raised its brand value and influence and thus become the representative for China’s Southern TCM. In 2011, the market value of the exclusive right to use GPHL trademark was evaluated as 7.71 billion RMB.
In 2010, the value of Wanglaoji, one of GPHL’s brands, reached 108 billion RMB, becoming the No. 1 brand in China. Baiyunshan, with a brand value of 28.33 billion RMB, is ranked No.1 in the Chinese pharmaceutical industry. In June, 2011, Beijing Brand Asset Appraisal Limited made an evaluation on 29 major trademarks of GPHL and its associated companies, concluding that the total brand value was 203.168 billion RMB and trademark value 59.994 billion RMB.
