In his speech, GPHL chairman Li Chuyuan reviewed the background of the museum, recognised its success over the last 15 years, and encouraged the museum to actively explore crossover cooperation between traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and other sectors, such as the founding of the Shennong Caotang Healthy Lifestyle Institute and Healthy Lifestyle Culture Month, providing people with a new lifestyle and making TCM keep up with trends.

Fei Yong, dean of Lifestyle Institute of Jinan University, gives an address.

Fei Yong, dean of Lifestyle Institute of Jinan University, agreed on the idea of 'Trendy TCM' proposed by GPHL. "With this idea, we can adopt the inheritance and innovation approach as the 'key' to unlock new paths to integrate TCM into daily life. I'm looking forward to wider application of TCM in our life," he said.

A TCM healthy lifestyle exhibition kicked off on-site, offering an immersive experience on clothing, food, accommodation, and transport with elements of fragrance, tea, and flowers. Visitors also had the opportunity to try an AI-powered mattress jointly developed by GPHL, Peking University, and Stanford University.

In addition, December is the Healthy Lifestyle Culture Month that aims to promote a healthy lifestyle and allow residents to enjoy a healthy life benefiting from TCM. The museum has arranged a variety of activities, such as 'children' healthy lifestyle, 'Banlangen' (Radix isatidis) healthy lifestyle, Wanglaoji healthy lifestyle, and health market. It also engages people with healthy lifestyle experiences and offers participants with benefits and gifts.

The museum was the first project that implemented Guangdong's strategy of building a strong province of TCM. Over the last 15 years, the small park originally with an area of only 3,300 square metres has grown into a famous 4A tourist attraction in China. It combines TCM history and culture with an attractive plantation of Chinese herbs, showcases and promotes TCM culture and knowledge, and has received more than 2.5 million visitors from home and abroad.
