The 48th World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting kicked off in Davos, Switzerland on Jan. 23, 2018, local time.

Being the most famous component of the World Economic Forum, the Davos Annual Meeting brings together major officials, economists and entrepreneurs every year to discuss the most pressing global issues.

This year, the Davos meeting was attended by major business media's CEOs, such as Fortune Magazine and the Wall Street Journal, and executive officers of multinational enterprises including representatives of key Guangzhou enterprises, such as GAC and GPHL.

Guangzhou hosted a roadshow for the first time during this year’s Davos, announcing its “2018, year of international communication” plan.

At the roadshow, GPHL launched a brand new product—Wang Lao Cola. This new product perfectly combines the flavor of original herbal tea and popular carbonated soft drink.

It’s a creative combination of the east and west culture, which also meets the theme of Davos, said Li Chuyuan, the chairman of GPHL. This innovative application can not only facilitate more cooperation, but also, at the same time, coincide with the idea of supply-side reform by combining Coco Cola with herbal tea.

Li expressed that GPHL hopes to strengthen communication with Fortune Global 500 companies and enhance cooperation between the east and west through Davos.

Over the past years, GPHL has been promoting the idea of ‘Trendy TCM’, which aims to provide products targeting young people, using advanced manufacturing technology and accessible marketing methods.

A typical ‘Trendy TCM’ product, GPHL’s Wanglaoji herbal tea is being sold to more than 60 countries and regions around the world with a market value exceeding RMB 200 billion.
