On December 13th, the 2020 Guangzhou Marathon kicked off. At 7:30am, a starting-gun firing ceremony saw the beginning of the event and 20,000 runners ran the marathon. GPHL chairman Li Chuyuan attended the starting-gun firing ceremony.

Once again, GPHL’s brand Ciningji served as one a supporter in this event. GPHL’s subsidiary Jingxiutang has become the only medicinal supporter for this event for two consecutive years.

100 GPHL employees led by chairman Li Chuyuan formed a team to run the race. In previous years, Jingxiutang chairman Liang Mingji and Wanglaoji Health deputy general manager Ye Jizeng led teams to participate in the running marathons.

“The unexpected pandemic this year has made a serious impact on people around the world. We are able to hold this large-scale event because of our country’s epidemic prevention and control and people’s efforts,” Li Chuyuan said after he led to team to reach the finish line. “The Guangzhou Marathon is a calling card of the city, attracting marathon runners from both home and abroad. As a local pharmaceutical company, we are duty bound to provide this event with healthcare support.”
